Jame Brausch over at http://www.jamesbrausch.com/?p=756 is having a few problems with a contest he's trying to win at cd Baby. Here's what I'd do. I would send an email something like this:
Dear _______,
If I didn't know better, I might think that your contest was rigged.
In fact many of my subscribers are saying that is the case, and they
aren't happy that my cd is not available.
When I told them the story on my site, they really weren't happy
that my emails had been ignored for 3 days, or that they got a 404
page when they've tried to place orders . . . or that my cd was not
shown in the #1 position. You see, they like me to succeed, and
they follow my blog faithfully.
They don't understand or take lightly reasons like "code switches"
and some of them have urged me to sue you or report your actions
to the FTC.
After all, rigged contests are illegal and the FTC has jurisdiction over
such matters. The owner himself would be implicated by the
selective 404 page. It's a good thing that I'm not the type of person to do
that, but it's very disappointing, and frankly, I am angry!
I spent an entire month putting my resources into winning a contest
that would have been a slam dunk if the contest promoter actually
provided a level playing field.
I am curious as to what actions you would take if you were in my
position.

Thanks again for everything you are doing, James.
We need your work.
